Counselling and Psychotherapy

The Green Lounge is a bespoke Counselling and Psychotherapy service. A place to access therapy that can be tailored to your individual needs.

We can all experience times where we find our wellbeing and mental health is not as we would like. Life can bring challenges. During these difficult moments we can feel overwhelmed, distressed, confused, and stuck. Counselling could be a way to help make sense and make these time less challenging.

At The Green Lounge, focus will be on creating a space where you feel safe and free from judgement. From this crucial platform, we can begin to explore the reasons that brought you to counselling. Together, we will develop understanding and discover ways to ease your distress, helping you move forward.

The curious paradox is that when I accept
myself just as I am, then I can change.

About the green lounge

Hello, my name is Fiona Segasby and I’d like to welcome you to The Green Lounge.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and hold a Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an Integrative Counsellor based on the Wrexham/Chester border.

I have over 20 years experience of working with mental health and talking therapy. I have previously worked for both the NHS and Voluntary/Charity sectors. I set up my private practice in 2021 and with my passion for the beneficial effects of the outdoors I created ‘The Green Lounge’, ‘Green’ being a nod to the use of outdoors and nature as a therapeutic and wellbeing resource. There is always an offer to invite nature and outdoors into the therapeutic space.

I’m originally from the North of England, I moved to London in the early 2000’s where I began working within the world of talking therapy and mental health and I have enjoyed a varied and fulfilling career. It was in London, where I completed my psychotherapy training, but I have now moved back to the North West and have settled in North Wales - this is where you find me today.
